Vision

The vision of the lower reach of Bauman Creek is to create wetlands along the existing back water lowland and to rehabilitate the lower reach of the creek to its mouth at the Grand River. Boardwalks with blinds for wildlife viewing and platforms for aquatic studies will cross the wetlands at two locations. The trail within the lower reach of Bauman Creek will include boardwalk sections over wetlands and be exclusively for walking, complimenting the multi-use Grand Trunk Trail adjacent to Blair Road. This trail will link at each end with the Grand Trunk Trail and, at its eastern terminus, will be but a short walking distance from the proposed site of the Interpretive Centre.
